pcanywhere XP vs W98 batch mode

Tried using OLE with Visual Foxpro for multiple host calls and transfers. Results are unreliable and inconsistent. Now attempting to have multiple .bat files to invoke calls and do some file management. In XP, each .bat operates to completion before next starts. In W98 they all try to start immediately (on top of one another)Is there some setting in W98 I need to change?
If only there was some way to create Auto Transfer files programatically!
Any and all help is appreciated.
