Me and a coworker of mine are running XP Pro with all windows updates installed, and PCanywhere version 11.0.1 build 764 and the same firewall configuration as well as all symantec updates. We go through the VPN to a location running the same Host Only PCanywhere version and build on W2k machines with no firewalls on the machines. When I try to connect it shakes hands and then I get the checkered Screen. Yet when my coworker tries from his laptop it his goes through fine. I have tried it on three other PC 2 XP and 1 W2K all give me the checkered screen. I have also tried using his net work connection and still get the checkered screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Go to edit, preferences, remote operations on your computer. Try checking the disable active desktop. There may be a screen resolution problem. Check some of the other settings in there.

Our VPN routers after an update solved the problem!

Hi - I am having exactly the same issues! Are you using Cisco routers? Be interested to know which updates you applied to solve your problem.

Cheers,
Pete.
