IP issue: The ports (5631, 5632) on our point-to-point routers have been open for the pcAnywhere communication. If you type in the IP address of the host you can connect. If you open up the box to display all hosts, none of them show up. Any ideas? Fish

If I'm not mistaken (which I may be) what you are seeing is a PCAnywhere broadcast. Since routers don't pass broadcast packets then you will only see the hosts listed when you are on the local subnet..... david e

You are correct in that I think these are broadcasts. I was just curious if there was a way to fix it. If we utilize the IPX/SPX protocol then they come through fine, just not with TCP/IP. I am guessing that since the IPX connections can be seen that maybe there is a router modification or something that can be done on the IP side to 'open things up'.

Thanks Fish

Just to make sure: You have the ports configured as 5631 (TCP) and 5632 (UDP). Correct? If they are both TCP it will not work.
