Hi,
I've just encountered a problem on NT4 workstation and PCanywhere 9.2.0 and would welcome any ideas in correcting the following scenario: User (remote control)is connecting via TCP/IP to PCanywhere host within the internal network and on the same subnet. A Belkin OmniView 4 port switch is used to toggle between the 2 computers in question. The user connects successfully and after about 10-20 seconds the host system reaches 100% CPU utilization and the machine effectively locks up. I know that PCanywhere is a background application so I was thinking of adjusting the NT application performance boost down a notch from maximum. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this or has any thoughts. Thanks in advance!

I doubt that this applies to your situation but I saw 100% usage followed by a lock-up once when two systems were configured to use the other as a host. Interesting but deadly parallel mirror effect.

Sorry I couldn't come up with a more likely suspect but the incident was the only one that came to mind.

How many computers are involved here? I could envision the same sort of problem developing indirectly if multiple systems were configured to create a feed-back loop.
