I have an XP machine that won't boot up. when you turn it on the fan is working, the hard drive light is on but it doesn't make any beeps and nothing will show on the screen. can anyone help?

We need complete details on the parts, especially the power supply, ram, cpu, motherboard, any other add-ons and any other info you feel we should have before we can make an accurate assessment and try and help you.

Like Garebo has said, the more info the better the solution...

my bet is that it is the PSU....

Could be your mobo, this has happened to me before, exact same thing.

When I recently built a computer I didn't have the jumpers set right on the motherboard. I thought I had a 400 MHz FSB however it was only a 333. So instead of a 200 Mhz jumper setting, I needed the 166. And it worked.

Might not help, but it won't hurt either!

Good luck
Tim
