As a Professional recording studio, it is an Imperitive that we have both Mac and PC capabilities. Since firewire is one of our main archiving formats, as well as transport formats, it is also inportant that we be able to switch between PC and Mac quickly with the same firewire drive.

We're running an AMD 2500+ with XP pro with "NEC OHCI Complient IEEE1394 Host Controller" . This will easily see/read from (with the help of MacDrive) our LaCie 80GB Firewire drive. It will acknowledge that we have plugged in a 120 GB Oxford Firewire, but it will not show up in My computer or give us any options to making the drive seen. Rebooting doesn't change anything, and while the drive works perfectly on the MAC we have had nothing on the PC side.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

what u do is make sure the firewall is on in the settings... or just use macs with that windows emulator thing!!!

The PC will not read HFS or HFS+ formatted disks.
Format the drive as FAT32 and both can read and write the drive.
