I have a user who is using a stand alone PC (dell) running win 2k.
Since last night the PC keeps restarting before they get to the log in screen. No chance to log in. It just keeps rebooting.

Any ideas?

Thanks

We had a problem similar to this in that a PC would randomly reboot itself. Turned out to be a corrupted third party device driver that caused W2K to go a little crazy. Try to boot up in safe mode and check the event logs. Alternatively, remnove any recently added devices and make sure the PC boots ok. If it does, make sure you have the latest drivers....

Hope this helps!

Will give these options a try and see what happens. Thanks.

I had the same problem recently: It goes through the Boot and the says Windows 2000 prof screen and then once the blue bar is all the way to the end it would reboot again. Eventually, what I did was Booted the computer using CD-ROM into the setup. Then typed "R" from repair. The setup repaired itself and I got back to my Windows. Try this it might help you.
