Running PC console with a callmaster VI, on NT4. Was running on 98 but got the same issue so advised by my reseller to try NT. Anyway. the problem is i'll get an incoming call, the call bar will go white but then just stay there, with no detail, you cant pick the call up, transfer it or anything. Restarting the application doesnt work, changing the com port in admin and restarting the software seems to clear it. So looks like something is causing the com port to lock ?
Tried running the pc totally standalone, no other software running. Would appreciate some guidance.
Thanks

It may be a driver that was recently loaded with some other software package that is conflicting with the software and it's drivers. I would run windows update on the pc then search for the latest drivers all other hardware devices on the pc. after whiupdating everything I would then completely remove the pc console and reinstall it.

I agree that a reload is in store, but I would also clean up windows. Delete the files in the TEMP folder and such, run a diagnostic on the HD. When I have issues like yours with PC Console, it tends to be the OS or hardware.

Thanks guys, I had already tried those, in fact also tried a totally new out of the box PC with no other software loaded.
Maybe something to do with the com port settings ? Everything is currently set to standard 9600,8,1, etc no flow control

Avaya pc console is quite unsteady. Try this website: They have modified the Avaya pc console and improved on it. I dont have any more problems with this console

Avaya has also release SoftConsole 1.5, which we have been testing on WinXP. We have found it to be a more stable program and you can port your database over. Also, SoftConsole will read the button settings right off the PBX rather than having to set them up in the Admin portion of the software.
