I have a Dell Dimension L866R that recently started to lose time on the PC Clock. It appears to lose about 4 - 5 minutes in a month. Any idea as to a cause and what can be done to correct it? The system is just over 2 years old.

Thanks,

Tom

All PC clocks lose or gain time. They are not accurate, never have been. Use the internet to adjust your clock. XP has it built in. For Win98 I suggest Dimension4, a freeware program.

I agree with Jon. There's nothing wrong with losing 4-5 minutes a month. That's pretty normal if not "above average" for a PC.

Thanks for the responses. Never noticed it losing time until recently. Just thought something else may be happening.

Thanks again,
