Hi folks, i have a win 7 computer and sometimes the pc can't connect to a server application and i receive the following error message:

"An error occurred while gathering information from Active Directory for NT authentication"
but when the Ethernet port is disable/enable, the PC is able to connect with the application without problems.
I appreciate your help and effort.

Make and model of the PC in question, please. What program are you trying to run? What type of AD server are you talking with? Does it still do it on another PC with his login credentials? Do any other users have the same issue? What AV/AM and/or firewall is installed on this PC? Run a ping -t and see if you have constant communication with the application server as well as the AD server if they are different servers. Are you rocking a static IP setup or DHCP? If not, you have a network issue.

it's Dell optiplex 7010 desktop; the application is called OnBase, AD win svr 2008 r2, sometimes occurs in others pc's too, there is not credentials to get access to it, all pc's have static ip configuration. thank you for your help.

By the way, OnBase is an accounting app. and has been installed in a SQL svr.

When you installed the OnBase Application on the PC and server in question, did you install it with a User that had Domain Admin credentials or Local Admin credentials?

there is not an installation process, it's a connection through the data sources (odbc)

Back to the AD end of it, are the Users that have issues a member of multiple Groups?
