Hi Guys,

I set up a new M2250 console with SMILE 2.0 software but its not working as expected.

TN1 - white/blue, (TN2 SETN)- white/orange and TN3 (PWR)- white/slate.

The front LED flashes between red and green for sometimes and finally turns red. The LEDs on the rear flashes red for a while and goes off.

Any idea on why the front LED is not green as expected is welcomed.

Check TNs in switch are they idle or busy. Is your 3rd TN for power. (pwr should read as disabled)

MIKE

LD 32 reveals that the TNs are Busy and the TN for PWR is Disabled.

The Self-Test on the M2250 Pc-based console was ok.

Does any one know the serial (DB 9) port settings for the interface?

when the PC Console is powered down, the TNs become IDLE while the TN for PWR remains DISABLED.

While te console is powered up and TN connections are there are you able to disable and enable TN and TN 2

Also the 2250 PC console can you place it in busy and night mode?

Check each TNs polarity

Thanks for your contribution, I can disable and enable TN & TN2 but not power TN whether the pc-console is powered up or down.

The front indicator on the M2250 pc console initially fluctuates between red and green when powered up and finally turn red instead of green.

This means the pc console is not communicating with the SMILE 2.4.1 program.

I'm not sure of what is wrong.

The red light on the interface unit doesn't mean it's not communicating with the PC. It means there's a problem with it's communication with the PBX. The interface thinks its a regular M2250 and doesn't care if the PC's connected or not.

Many Thanks Guys, I moved TN and TN2 to a different position and the Red light disappeared, now green.

The previous TNs on card 5 are bad.

I am now battling with the SMILE 2.4.1 software to communicate with the M2250 console interface unit - CIU.

SMILE is not interacting with the CIU.

Hi Guys!

Does anyone think a Dongle is needed to make the CIU and the smile 2.4.1 program to communicate as reguired? Althought the help menu says a Dongle is optional.

I cannot see incoming calls on the smile program and cannot make any call form it.

Incoming calls ring out only in the M2250 console interface unit's front speaker.

What is really not right?
