We are updating our platform to XP pro but our Dell GX1 CPUs wont auto shut down. The CPUs prompts us with the "it is now safe to shut down your computer"
Thanks all

did they auto shutdown before the upgrade?

Cheers

Howdy:

Make sure ACPI (power mangement) is enabled in both BIOS and Control Panel.

Hi

Try updating ur BIOS. Some older BIOS do not support ACPI.
Check the DELL site for BIOS update.

Thanks for the rapid response
We did turn on the ACPI in the Bios but we may have missed it in the control panel
I will update the bios as well and get back to you all
Thanks again
