PC attendant console has static

I have a newly installed PC attendant console that has static. I have checked and reterminated all wiring and grounding, tried a new headset, new DB9 cable between PC and console. Has anyone else had this problem? The only thing I haven't changeout is the MDF cable or the PC console itself. When I plug the M2250 console back in there is no static.

I had a similar problem. Is your cat 5 cabling running close to any power???? this will definitely make it bad. - Also check you power supply to the pc - This can also cause it - the best way to test this is to load smile onto a laptop and run it on battery power. - This might actually solve it.

I replaced the PC console unit yesterday and that fixed the problem. The bad unit was a brand new out of box failure. Thanks for the feed back.

NEVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH PC CONSOLES, GREAT IDEA BUT DON'T WORK VERY WELL
