Our company standard changed recently to use CA Unicenter Remote Control from PC Anywhere 10.5 on all of our Window servers. Normal procedure is to uninstall PC Anwhere first but a developer installed CA Unicenter on top of PC Anywhere before the uninstall. Now the server can not be changed out of 640x480 256 color on the desktop. If you access the server from a terminal there is no problems but you can not change the video settings. I unstalled PC Anywhere on one of the servers which fixed the problem but this did not work on the other server.

The servers are Compaq/HP Proliants DL360G2's with Windows 2000 Server and SQL 2000 standard edition.

Any ideas? I checked Symantec's site and that wasn't much help.

Thanks
Rob

I recently installed PC Anywhere version 10.5 on my Windows 2000 Desktop and had the same problem. It actually corrupted both my adapter and Monitor drivers. Had to go to the internet and download the drivers for adapter and monitor and redo on my desktop. This worked.

Thanks! I followed the same steps except booting into VGA mode and it worked.
