Hi,

I have been running the PBX Unified Maintenance Software on an XP laptop for a while. This (the laptop) has developed a fault and I sourced a Windows 7 laptop. There seemed to be problems running the software and I was advised that the answer was to run it in XP mode. There was no problem installing the software but I cannot open the USB port whatever I try. Is anybody running via a USB connection in XP mode?

Thanks,

That has all been sorted out the latest rev of the UMPC
works on win7 34/64 bit

Unfortunately for reasons various I do not have access to the latest revision so have to work with the one the company have! Good to know it has been sorted though as from an acquaintance whose company uses the same PABX was awaiting an update some months ago.

Could it be you are not a legitimate dealer in your country?
If that is the case then thats why you don't have access to the latest updates! you will find one day if you have a vendor
that they update the mpr on the system and you outdated software doesn't work at all!!

Had the same problem with my win7 laptop,
worked around with running in XP mode, then an option appears on the xpmode toolbar at the top USB (connect to tdx xxx)then all good.
we update to ver 6 umpc lte 2010 , still waiting for proper integration for USB for Win7
