I am trying to connected a G3Si v11 with a G3Si v6 using one DS1 in each, configure as ISDN-PRI E-1 (2Mb) with CRC enabled.
I am getting a #141 error on test board on the v11, and a #139 on the v6.

The v11 is a central system and is already connected to another G3Si v6 and a G3CSi v7 using identical configurations, but different telcos.

Has anybody got any ideas or solutions that I can try to resolve the errors?

Do you have the 'D' channel terminated in the G3siV6? You need either a port on a TN765 (Processor Interface) or a TN464, TN778, and the PACCON bit set to 'y' on the Customer Options screen.

Error 139 is the connectivity error, Are you sure that you are punching the DS1's correctly. Pair 22 of DS1(1) to 23 of DS1(2).

Definity . Yes. Have had the errors the otherway round. e.i. v11 with 139 & v6 with 141. The way the errors are at the moment are the way they first appeared. They were switched before we found a faulty cable between the DS1 and the telco's NTU. When this was corrected the errors reverted to how they are now.

G3Si v6 is set as.

disp sys cus :
ISDN over PACCON is set to Y.

Signal group 3 is set as follows

Associated Signaling? y Max number of NCA TSC: 5
Primary D-Channel: 01A1216 Max number of CA TSC: 5

DS1 is configured as
Location: 01A12 Name: DCS to LTC
Bit Rate: 2.048 Line Coding: hdb3

Signaling Mode: isdn-pri

Interworking Message: PROGress Protocol Version: b
Interface Companding: alaw CRC? y

As a system this is also connected to a G3R via DCS, with directly connected (x-over) Cat5 cable. Although I cannot check that link, as the R is used as a recovery machine and the link is only configured on one of around 40 different translations.

Check your idle code ( 01010100 )
Shouldn't that be 01010101 or 11111111 ?

Idle code is right for the UK. All other trunks on all other systems we have are the same.

Check the cross over cable, it is different from a data cross over cable. The Orange and blue wires should be crossed.

A wrong cross-over cable would give a 138 error. Also as systems are not co-located, we are using a telco for interconnectivity. So a standard cable is used for connection to the PSTN NTE (network termination equipment).

This is the same as the connections to the other Si v6 and the CSi v7.
