I recently aquired an old Power Book 145, which I intended to use as a potable typewriter. However I just cannot get it to start. When I switch it on, the screen lights up and the mouse cursor appears in the top left-hand corner of the screen and that is that. I can move the cursor, but the disk icon dosen't appear nor can I hear the Hard disk.
Any ideas?

Have you tried booting from the installation CD?

Thanks Baddoggy, but unfortunatly the PB 145 dosen't come with a CD drive and as it dosen't seem to get sa far as searching for a drive, I'm not sure if it would recognize the SCSI port. but I'll give it a try anyway and let you know.
