Help!

The algorithm of work of the following functions is not clear to me:
PAYMENT (), FV (), PV ().
It would be desirable to see algorithm of work of these functions,
realized on any programming language or if it is possible to result
algorithm of action these functions as the verbal description and an
example of calculation.

While the underlying algorithm is not specified, the help file provides a descripiton on their use and even sample code. These seem to work the same as the Excel functions - PMT(), FV() and PV() - no algorithms are given there either! I'd check a basic statistics or business math book for these algorithms.

Dennis,
The only problem with these are that they expect consistent values at regular intervals, where FoxPro and Excel can handle data variants on both of these terms. It becomes more of a "calculus" solution than an algebraic one. However the explanation is quite useful to understand the concepts.
