Patching 2 callers together 1

OK, so I have figured out a way to patch 2 external callers together on my norstar phone system, but it is not exactly the easiest method. I basically conference 2 callers and then take myself out of the conference. BUT this method ties up our lines for a long time even after the callers have hung up.

I would like to know if there is an easier, less flawed way to patch 2 external callers together.

Sounds like you need to turn on supervision of your lines in programming. Then the lines should release when the external callers hangup. Of course I am assuming you have a system that is capable of disconnect supervision. Brian Cox

YOu also need to make sure you have disconnect supervison coming from your local phone company.

Buy Centranet service and transfer one caller to the other party using the centranet features. That will free up your lines.
