Hi i have 9.0.1 database and would like to patch it from metalink patch sets.

Should i install the sequence patch sets one by one?
Or should i just install the latest one?
Is there any known issues for the patch installation?
Platform win2k server. I know i can only patch up to 9.0.1.X for my version, right?

Thanks.

The real answer to your question is to read and closely follow the installation instructions that accompany the patch. As a general rule patch sets are cumulative, whereas individual patches are not. However, you don't want to make an assumption and find out after the fact that you messed up your dbms. The readme file tells you the earliest version of Oracle the patch can be applied to.

Yes, only patches 9.0.1.x.x can be applied to a 9.0.1 database. Later patches, such as 9.2.0.4.0, are only for Oracle 9.2.

Thanks, i have successfully patched the database as per the patch readme file.
