When documenting an application error it is useful to create a Word document with screen prints of error screens. What has always worked in the past was to do Alt-PrtScr on the screen with the error message, then open Word in a separate window, and Paste the image into the document. Now, something strange has started to happen.

When I do the paste, all I get in the Word Document is a very tiny icon that says PDF. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it?

Not really sure, but you could try Edit/Paste Special from the menu and choose a specific method such as "Picture"

melburstein,

In the past I have always done Ctrl+Alt PrtScr.

Hope this helps

Can't reproduce your problem

Just one comment Ctrl-PrtScr copies the whole of the screen

Alt-PrtScr copies only the active window
