Hello,
I have recently pasted 1000 records into a table from Excel as import was causing problems. This works fine but I have discovered that trying to reference the data in a form to a report will not work. I have a query that is "looking" for the entries in the form but it will not pull it through to the report.
If I enter new data records into the database these are pulled through to the report without any problems.
Is this Access saying that it does not like pasted data in its tables? Or what? The tables look the same and each one has a unique ID.
Hope you can help.
Keep up the good work.

Are you sure that you don't have any leading or trailing spaces in your TEXT columns that you imported?

Skip,

Yes it is possible but they all show in the form when running through the records so why are they not being referenced in the report? surely some would still appear (the ones without the spaces)?
Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

Hoe are ya Inky2201 . . . . .

Also . . . is the [blue]PrimaryKey[/blue] of the table handled properly?

If [blue]PK[/blue] is not [blue]autonumber[/blue] then no go . . . You'll have to go back in the table (thru code) amd [blue]assign PK values.[/blue]

Hi AceMan1,
Yes the PK is Autonumber and all of the entries have unique IDs
