Paste text from Word to Wordperfect

Hi all,

I'm having problem with MS Word 2002 and WordPefect 9. My users would like to be able to highlight and copy text within a Word document and paste it into WordPefect.

The problem is that when trying to paste the text into WordPerfect we receive the error, "Input file is not the format specified.". However, you can copy and paste text going the other direction.

My theory is that the text copied within Word is marked as Rich Text (as it should be to keep most of the formatting)but WordPerfect somehow does not recognize the format.

Can anyone provide some insight (or better yet a work around) to this issue?

Some addtional info -

OS: Windows 2000 SP2

MS Office SB XP SP1

Corel WordPerfect Office 2000 SP3

I also left out that we discovered we could paste the test if the paste was done without formatting. We would like to keep the formatting if possible.

This problem did not exist with the following previous setup:

OS: Windows NT SP6a

MS Office 97 Pro SP2

Corel WordPerfect Office 2000 SP3
