Passwords passwords and more passwords. We here are managing 14 switches. There are log on password for the 87XX's the MGP's the P133's Voicemail etc. What is everyone doing to control this 300 pound gorilla in the PBX room.

Thanks in advance
ED

I am pretty much doing the same thing Ed and have a sheet with all the passwords listed by device.

One thing that may help you. I have started using a VPN client to remote into my office PC from the house. With the remote connection it is like I am on my PC at work and have access to everything thats on my PC. A lot better than the RAS connections.

1. As I remember, ssh has the ability to cache passwords. I believe it can be set up to go password-less or to require a LOCAL passphrase instead of the remote password.

2. The Expect system allows one to automate logging in - but that blows all security
