Password required on 1608 Phones on CM? 1

Is this a configuration thing or a requirement?

Moving IP 9608 phones from IP Office to a new duplicated CM R6.3.

On the IP Office, we didn't have passwords for the phones. When we try that on the CM, we get Password Error in the phone screen.

We REALLY don't want to have to use passwords for the phones. Please advise.

The title of the thread says 1608 but the post says 9608 so some may be confused.
 
you need the password on station form

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.
