Password recovery on Summit 48i

Hi,
I just acquired some second-hand Summit 48i's, and they have the password from the previous owner. What are the steps for password recovery? Couldn't find any on the web... much appreciated

According to what I found on their site, you boot the switch and hold down the space key until you get to the boot menu, then boot the default image.

Hi,
I just got a used summit48 without password too, so did this work with the boot menu for recovery ?
I can stop the menu by pressing the space bar, but then it boots normaly after some time and still wants the old password.

i am no exper with the summit 48 but from my traing with the unit you hve two options
1. boot the switch while holding the space bar then unconfig the switche. and save the primary config
and also the secdary config.
2. call extreme thay will have you setup a modem and do a remote backdore change!
