Password recovery - cfadmin on unix server

I am trying to recover the CFadmin password on a Solaris server. I was able to recover the password on our W2K box, but not sure how to do it on UNIX.

 
Not sure how you did it on Windows. But if you did it by peeking at the registry... you do it the same way on a Solaris/UNIX box.

While Solaris itself doesn't have a "registry", ColdFusion itself builds a mimic of one so that the CFREGISTRY calls still all work.

If you did it some other way on the Windows box, and need to know the CFREGISTRY method, leave your email address here and I'll send it to you. I'd rather not post the actual code in a public forum for obvious reasons.

We did go through the registry to fix the Windows problem. It was actually on a previous post in this forum. Any info you can provide for Unix would be helpful. ssanfrat@maildivision.com
