Hi all,

I have added a MD110 Mini to my PBX collection.
After looking at an image I took of the hard disk, I think it is release BC10.
The passwords for both the NIU and the OS are unknown to me and different from the default.

How can I recover the password for the OS?
If that fails, how can I recover the pssword for the NIU or reset that to the default?

Apart from gaining access to the system my goal is to preserve the license file so I can rebuild the system if necessary.
Is the license only valid for BC10 or will it work with let's say BC12?

If I have to rebuild: does anyone still have a LIM disposition script for BC10?

Thanks
TKfan

Update:

I have managed to access the NIU by temporarily disabling the EEPROM thus forcing it to load its defaults.
Now I can access the file system and using fprt created a dump of the license file for safekeeping.

Under /USR1/SES/DR is an INL and a REL1 folder.
After renaming REL1 to XXX1 and REL2 under USR2 to XXX2 the INL gets booted and the OS comes up with defaults. YES!

Code:
ENTER USER NAME
<MDUSER

ENTER PASSWORD
<
ENTER NEW PASSWORD
<
CONFIRM PASSWORD, RE-ENTER NEW PASSWORD

However now I am stuck without a LIM disposition script... I found one for BC12 on the internet,
but it seems the names of the program units have changed since I get lots of NOT ACCEPTED errors.

is the license file also located on the disk, or else your system will be useless?

Helping people is my job...

FYI :
There was a change of the names of some program units between BC10 and BC12
BC10 : CMPS1, CMPS2,... --> CMP (BC12)
RMPS1, RMPS2,... --> RMP
...

If you don`t have a Limdispo for BC10 you can modify the one you have (BC12)
All available program units are in the /INL/ folder on your HDU.

P.S.
a valid licence-file for BC10 must be loaded (LIDAI) before sending limdispo,
e.g. license-file must be located on the HDU for loading.

best regards,
Norbert
