Does anyone know if it is possable to password protect a power point presentation from being opened in 2000? If so how do you do it.

I don't have 2000 to check but can you do it either via the Save dialogue > Tools menu > General Options, or, without saving, via Tools > Options > Security tab.

Enjoy,
Tony

There is not a security tab in the options screen. The only tabs I have are View, General, Edit, Print, Save, and Spelling.

I guess, in that case, it can't be done.

A quick search turned up this which confirms that it can't be done in order to maintain compatibility with earlier versions.

Enjoy,
Tony

The open/modify passwords in powerpoint were introduced in xp version. Pp 2000 will not be able to read protected presentation.
