Password protected excel files

Does anybody know how to open a password protected Excel file in StarOffice 7?

We have the password, but can't open the file.

I have such an .xls file and StarOffice 6 just gives an error about it being password-protected, no opportunity to type in the password. Guess you'd have to unprotect it in Excel first.

Open the file in excel using the password then when u save it back take the password off.

I thought the whole point of having StarOffice was so that you didn't need to have Excel, Word, etc.
