When I attempt to open the public folders in the exchange system manager, I get a password prompt. I saw thread thread955-782489 but there was not a resolution to that article. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have verified all the permissions at the file-system level and i'm logged in as Administrator on the box, and I'm in the right groups and administrator has "exchange full access" delegated.

Has this happened recently?

Are you running IE7 on that server by any chance? Try this:

1) Stop All Exchange and IIS services.
From the Service Control Manager
Stop the Exchange System Attendant Service
Stop the IIS Admin Service
2) Open a Command Prompt rename the PSAPI.DLL in the exchsrvr\bin directory to PSAPI.DLL.OLD
3) Restart the Exchange and IIS services

That should resolve your problem.

Zelandakh - thanks for the suggestion... but that didn't work. I don't have ie7 but I tried it anyway if only out of a last thread of hope.

Anything else you can think of?
