Hello,

having used PC for some time, the other day I locked my PC using CTRL-ALT-DEL and I can't unlock it....Windwos says my password is incorrect. IT ISN'T!!
Managed to get it to reboot to login prompt. Logged in with password OK. As soon as I lock the PC, it won't let me in again. Why is this?

I haven't got my password wrong. I DO NOW IT.

Is this the first time you locked the PC, or have you done this before and successfully unlocked it with your password?

Jim

This was the first time it has been locked. Logged in as Admin and couldn't unlock. I know the Admin password......typed it SLOWLY and 1 million times before!.

If I put system into hybernate by pressing power button, upon resume I boot system normally and can login OK. Just can't unlock.
Have since called DELL, and they sugested re-install of W2K. This I've done, and now it's OK......but would have liked to known what problem was.
