Hello all,

CR10
DB2 datasource
MS Access 2003

I have been asked to provide a report for dept directors(11 in all) with employee overtime for the past month, on the beginning of new month. Each director should only see the OT for his/her dept. I am using CR 10 and pulling the data from DB2 database. I currently have the report working but our budget will not allow for CR to be installed on each directors pc, so I plan to install (free) Crystal Passage (CR viewer) so the report can be viewed from each directors pc. The problem is the DB2 is password protected so every time the report is generated you are asked for username and password. Is is possible to export the report into Access db and not be asked for password. If this is a possibility, could someone kinda point me in the right direction??? I am new to CR and Access so any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has a better solutions than what I have described above, please let me know, I need all the help I can get..Thank you.....

What you need is Visual CUT by Millett Software ( Visual CUT is inexpensive ($360) and it will allow you to schedule the report weekly and automatically email the results to each director AND each director would only see their own department and no one elses.

This is the best solution for you IMHO, and will save time running reports since the reports are automated.

Thanks dgillz for your rapid reply. I have been looking at some of the crystal tools available. Unfortunately I work for a state owned hospital and funds are limited. I do plan on purposing this solution to my dept director....Thank you again
