I just got a new jump drive and it does not have software for Password protection. Can anyone recommend something i can use on all XP computers that does not require installing on every computer i use. Does Windows XP have a password creator? If so how can i find it.

Thanks,

You could compress the files with a password using the native XP utility, or one of the many ZIP archive utilities.

i just realized its formatted as FAT32 so i can't use the XP compression utility. :( So i guess i will just use the WinZip and hope every computer i run in to has it installed. Or i can keep a copy of the free version on my jump drive incase i need to install it to open my files.

Thanks bcastner.
