Can I put password for new user in CSVDE and export to AD? I can do that with dsadd command but not sure about CSVDE. I think it's not possilbe but just want to make sure.

I know that with LDIFDE you can import enabled users with blank passwords, but passwords cannot be defined. I don't think it's possible to even do this with CSVDE (that is, import *enabled* users). Imported users will be prompted to change (set) password upon first logon.

how to handle space when I use dssadd?
for example: I am trying to add number of users and computers using dssadd and when I have space in title it does not like that, how to handle?
ex -title= Network Administrator -memberof cn=IT,ou=IT Dept

Try quotes.

I tried " " and it worked.
How do I seperate memberOf parameters if more than one. I tried the one below and it does not work
-memberOf "cn=TestGroup,ou=groups,dc=test,dc=com Space cn=TestGroup1,ou=groups,dc=test,dc=com"

Thanks everyone

I would think that with DSADD you would have to add to groups in sequence, not all in one line.

I haven't used DSADD extensively, so I could certainly be wrong. But, that's what I would think anyway.

I didn't get that ("add to groups in sequence")can you please give me example and I will try?

Well, it seems you are trying to add to multiple groups in one line? Try adding to a group, then adding to another group, and so on...

The memberOf attribute is actually comprised of multiple values with each value containing a DN string. Not a single string containing multiple DN values. You know what I mean?

sorry, still confused. Give me example
If I try
-memberOf "cn=TestGroup,ou=groups,dc=test,dc=com
now how can I add the below group
"cn=TestGroup1,ou=groups,dc=test,dc=com"

do I add on same parameters memberOf, and now do I seperate two dn strings?
