password on my command buttons

Hi all
can you guide me in the right direction,
i would like to put password on my command buttons can someone offer me some guidence.
p.s
i would to have 4 seperate passwords
but they all need to open the same buttons.
i have a table called userinfo where the user names are stored also a user ID and there posisions held and a password field.
if you need any more info let me know i check this site every hour in office hours.

Not a direct answer to your question, more an alternative method, why not have a table of "authorised users", this could be as simple as two columns, buttonName and UserId, in the onclick event of the protected button(s), put code to check if the current user is an authorised user.

I feel this method is preferable to passwords, since users if they have a proliferation of passwords to remember will resort to writing them on postit notes stuck to thier monoitors, which somewhat negates the reason for having passwords
