thought I might share this with you guys,

I use this program to reveal passwords in ipoffice, including voicemail codes, remote manager, etc. useful as you don't need to just change them.

doesnt work on newer managers - 3.2+

sure, why not. i think it was tom that gave me a star for somethin stupid once.

It indeed only works on 3.1 and lower.
Handy if the customer does not know the password anymore.
If you do not have an old config then connect deltaserver and pull one by doing a reboot.
Deltaserver then pulls a config.
Then you can find the password.

Nothing wrong with that because they made that same option with resetting the securoty settings.

I'm using v5 and it works for me!

It does work for voicemail passwords etc etc but not for the system passwords which are set in the security settings.

If you try it there you will see something like "better luck next time"

What do you think about the passwords for SIP accounts!?!
Do you believe they should be in clear text or behind asterisks? I REALLY don't like that they are in clear test!!!

The password for sipaccounts are just shown as the way they are entered !

I know that but I don't believe this should be seen!!! They hidden the Login code, VoiceMail password but they did not hide the SIP password? This is <beep>!

I think they all should be in plain text, the only people who can see it in Manager are the people with the system passwords and so in a position to do a lot more damage than just passing on some passwords It would also make our jobs easier

The sip password was hidden in most versions but i have seen some where it is not hidden.
I can not recall which versions.
And like Amriddle states, only the people with access to the ipo see it and that are the right people who should see it.
