Can anyone help me out with how to reset the password for IP Office VoiceMail Pro Client Version 5.0(25). Somehow I have logged myself out and cannot log back in, in order for the conference bridge portion of this to work you need to be actively logged in. I do have the password for IP Office but that may not help. Any suggestions?

Which IP Office do you have? Is this a 406/403/412? If so, these require a dongle for vmpro to work (It will work for 2 hours without a dongle. It will work again after a reboot for 2 hours again). This sounds like what you said above. It keeps stop working. If it is a 403/406/412 then you need to find the dongle and re-attach it. It may have been connected to the old PC. They made red usb dongles, as well as silver serial port dongles.

the silver serial port dongle went on the back of the IPO,
there was also originally a red parallel port dongle.

the usb ones are prone to go missing when the IT man sees it & thinks oh look a free memory stick & then gets up when it does not work

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

VM Pro Version 5 wasn't supported on Windows 7.
Version 6 was the first version that was supported on Windows 7.

Hey Everyone

Okay, gave up on the windows 7 machine for now. Cannibalized two XP machines to get one working, found the dongle, attached it but still having that two hour log out thing for VoiceMail Pro. How do I know if the computer see's the dongle or if its working correctly? I have the IP Office 406. Red dongle.

check the licensing.
either in SSA or on a freshly opened config
if they say valid you are good

You're right Westi, licensing issue. I have the dongle and I did back up the Avaya files before the original computer crashed. Is it possible to recover the license from the backup files and if so where would I enter the licensing information?

there is a licensing option and all the license keys are there

you can also export them with Manager then you have them in a .CSV file

if the license string is in but not valid you have a dongle issue

I would make sure the feature key program is running. The old systems use an app to validate the key. You can tell, there will be a red square icon in the system tray.

you will need to download and install the sentinel driver. Like budbyrd said you should but not always see the red square in the system try, if the program is installed but cannot see the dongle then you will see a white square with a red line through it. This is going back a ways and my memory is not what it used to be!!
