Password for sql plus on oracle 9i

I installed Oracle 9i standard edition from the Oracle website. During installation I do not remember setting up any passwords. I am now unable to log into sql plus without the correct login and password.

Can any one help.

Hello,

start sqlplus with the command:

$ sqlplus /nolog

And then you may use:

SQL> connect system/manager as sysdba
SQL> connect sys/change_on_install as sysdba

or with the dba group (under Unix):

SQL> connect / as sysdba
