We have a PC running Windows 95, all users can logon fine apart from the one users who the machine belongs to.

Everytime the users logs on with the password it brings up a message "Password has expired please change" So when the password has been changed you then get an error message "The domain you supplied is not correct or access to your logon server has been denied".

The user in question is able to log onto other machines no problem. For some reason it seems to be saving the password that has been expired and when it's changed it doesn't recognize it.

Any Ideas would be appreciated!!!

Thanks

Lindsey

click start>run ... type command and press enter, or click ok... you should get a command prompt... type "cd \windows" - without the quotes - and press enter... type "del *.pwl" - without the quotes - and press enter... reboot the computer, and try again... Shane
and now for the impressive abbreviations:
DOA, SOL, AWOL, PEBKAC, id10t, FUBAR

Yes all .pwl files have already been deleted and that didnt' solve the problem. It is a very wierd problem. I untuck the box to logon to domain and it logs onto the network no problem and can see everything apart from one machine, which i find quite confusing!

reset the password on the domain controller... make sure you do NOT force the user to change it on next login... if it works ok, try going into the control panel and changing the password...

i agree, this is a confusing one... i am not able to duplicate it. Shane
