Password Complexity

Hi,
We recently had an IT audit and one thing they recommended is setting the complexity setting via group policy.

Currently we only have to following settings:
1.Expires every 90 days.
2.Remembers 4 old passwords.
3.Has to be six characters.

As far as I can tell when you enable this setting it doesn't give you any other options. How do you decide how complex. Like letters and numbers. I know one place I was at required letters,numbers, and period dashes etc.

If I did set this setting it seems like you have to choose 3 or the 4 categories. I am familiar with this but I think this could cause me a huge headach in the long run. My users didn't take well when we went to a 6 char anything password. Is there a way to set it where the only complexity is must be letters and numbers.
