Before I boss left our company -
he changed the 2nd level password -
The 1st level password was set up for help desk admin
with limited access
and that works for OVL 10,11 20 95 -
I never set up my own password -
so I'm really in a Jam

Is there a way to connect directly to the core
without using a logi password ?
I'm thinking about hooking a lap top maybe
for a direct connect?
instead of paying Nortel big bucks ?

any suggestions ?
Thanks Josie

Did you use Ovl(Load) 22, PRT, type = PWD to see your current passwords ?

Only see LD 10,11,20,95
nothing else

thanks

What's stopping you from getting the pwd from your former boss?
I belive the new password is "Company property" that he
can't take with him.
If he would'nt reveale it, have the passwords reset,
and bill him for it ;-)

can not contact him ?
tried to but no luck

Do you know how to connect a lap top to the core ?
What if I do a hard re-boot ?will that help me?
maybe reset the password to admin 2 2nd level password ?

Thanks

A re-boot will not help you, neither will prt pwd in 22, as to see pwd 2 , you have to enter pwd 2. I'm afraid a Nortel Partner, or Nortel will be your only solution.

too bad - someone gets that angry for being let go

I talked with a vendor they used a PDT password to see the
2nd level password but it didnt work
He said because the 2nd level logi was changed
it might have caused corruption

Really Big Bucks to get Nortel to fix it ? .
Do you know how much ?
Thanks again for your help

I'm not sure of the going rate, at a customer owned and maintained site that is not beta, it's like $600 per hour, which shouldn't take an hour to go thru the 7 different pointers they have to go thru to get it/reset it. Good luck.
