passwd reset of 3300 3COM switch 1

Hi,
i have read some good information. i have four 3300 3 com SS switches. i am unable to log on using any one of the password. i can only use manager/manager just to view. These four switches are in a matrix model with S1 is primary and S2, S3, S4 are secondary.
Now i have two Qs:

1. Can I reset/recover the admin or security password?
2. If not, then i am planning to free up the forth swich S4, and send back to 3COM. They will make it back to factory settings. MY QUESION IS: with the new password, will i be able to change the password of remaining 3 switches? I mean once i get the S4, I will configure it with IP and then connect back to the matrix. After that will i be able to log in to S4 with new admin passwd and then go to other switches and reset there password too?
appriciate your help. I need it asap
 
Try login with.. username: 3comcso password: RIP000 if it take it, it will ask if you want to re-initialize the unit.
 
You mean using web interface or telnet.
It didnot work for web interface. and when i try telnet, it doesnot let me type the password. as i type the first letter of the password,it says incorrect password.
 
I finally got it. same userid works 3comcso/RIP000.
but it wipes out all the IP settings. then using admin/<no password>, you can configure for IP.

I´ve an 3com Superstack II 9300 2-LX/10-SX (3C93011) SWITCH.

My Problem is: I could not login to reconfigure. My pal is walk out around the world and the 3com-support is over, because the machine was bought from 2001, and it´s to old since registration (just 2-year-free-support-help).
They gave me the offer to pay lot of money for help me here. - No thanks ! I haven´t !

Here are all my tried backdoors w/o effect (used serial-console):

adm/(none)
admin/synnet
admin/admin
admin/(blank)
admin/nopass
debug/synnet
write/synnet

... always &quot;incorrect password&quot; !
--------------
and:

root/(blank)
root/manger
security/(blank)
security/security
manager/manager
recover/recover
tech/tech
monitor/monitor
3comcso/RIP000
force/force

... always &quot;.. is not a valid access level&quot;

and here is NO reset-button on my machine ...

Maybe anyone got a quick idea ?! The delivered handbooks (the customer+admin handbooks) have no details for this case...

Does anyone have any idea or answer ?!

try sspifadmin in password space. Worked for a few switches on one of our sites but can't remember which ones
