passwd and add user

I have domain controller on win 2000 server, I did not give a password to administrator. How to assign a password to it? I also need add a user but there is a red mark on local group and users since it is domain controller. How to add a user on that? Thanks!

You'll need to open up active directory. It is located under Programs - Administrative Tools - Active Directory Users and Computers. In this you should see a users folder. That will contain the administrator account. Just simply right click the account and go to reset password. As for creating new users just right click on the users folder and select new - user. If you want to assign specific rights to a group of user create an OU.
