hi every body
I'm new on Nortel stuff, and I begin with a big problem :
I work on a PP 1200 with 2 CPU
Since few days, it seems impossible to copy the config on the standby CPU ....

Any ideas ?

Thnaks a lot

You should be able to save the config to stanby NVRAM (not PCMCIA card) by typing "save standby"
Hope this is what you are looking for.
Scott

My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my knowledge.

After many times, "save standby" ends with these errors :

Error: failed

The Passport works with Software Release 2.1.1.0
Any other ideas ?

Thanks a lot

when you say "Save_config_standby_\flash\config.cfg", you mean "Save config standby \flash\config.cfg" ?
Thanks for this proposition.

in fact "Save_config_standby_\flash\config.cfg" is the same command as "save standby".

I don't understand nothing ....

Hi, Im using Passports 8600s and Im not sure if this works on the passport you are using, and Im not sure I understood your question correctly but...

to copy the config.cfg from the pcmcia card to the flash or vice versa, I just use this line: copy /pcmcia/config.cfg /flash/config.cfg

or the other way around: copy /flash/config.cfg /pcmcia/config.cfg

to cpu unit 2: copy /pcmcia/config.cfg peer:/flash/config.cfg

or the other way around: copy :peer/pcmcia/config.cfg /pcmcia/config.cfg

Hope this helps... =)

-Cheers, Niklas
