I am using Crystal Report 2008. I have one subreport that displays top 20% summary and I need to pass an unique id which is a string to a detailed subreport of the top 20%. Any information would on how to best resolve this would greatly appreciated.

In what report section is your top20% subreport located? Will the second subrepoort be an on-demand subreport?

I have the Top 20% in the report header and detail in the report footer.

Forgot to add to your question, no it wasn't on demand.

You could instead set up the original subreport to allow drilldown to the details. If you still want to show details in a separate sub, save the first sub under a different name and then display the details in the second sub instead of suppressing them.
