I am currently working on a cm 6.2.823 with system manager 6.1 , the customer has requested that on a covered call to his mobile that the calling number is presented , we have turned on every forwarding and qsig and coverage option we can think of and also activated a special application , the problem is when doing a trace on the TAC I cant see the calling number leaving CM on the covered part of the call , is there anybody who has any tips or cant point me in the correct direction, tracesm is my next step to see if the list trace is missing anything .

Thanks in advance guys.

You can use the /s identifier to display SIP information in the trace. Example: list trace tac *04/s

No matter how you cover the call to the mobile (coverage, call-fwd, ec500), CM should be sending the original calling party in the FROM header. The SIP trunk service provider may need to see the extension's DID number in the SIP message via a Diversion header, or History-Info, P-Asserted-Identity, etc., to allow the call to go through. Some providers may not allow it at all. Or it could be that the SBC or SM is manipulating the FROM header.

Thanks for the response i have used the /s on the trace but not helping me to see the calling party number going out to SM , we are using p_id on the trunk group, im sure SM is not manipulating and the SBC is GAMMA controlled (sevice provider) and is set to passive allow anything through if allowed, I appreciate the advice on the from header that will help me filter out other messaging (thinking about it , obvious really) , so I am going to use tracesm next , i just wanted to ensure as i thought that CM will pass the digits through as I was thinking public unknown tables may come into play , but that is just a direct call from station. Again thankyou its the from header In need to focus on , I will post an update on the config in case anybody else needs this service.
