Hi all,

I dont know if this is possible but I have created a WIP report (WIP report is a kind of report that tells you about your works that you have not finished - Work In Progress) and it is working fine.

The challenge is this the GM is now asking that he want an automated process that runs the report and sends it into another table where he can now run another report to pull weekly summaries.

Stated simply, It runs the report this week, stores the summary total in a database table, runs it next week, stores the summary total in the table and the process continues weekly; He can then go to the database and pick the results for comparison at his own time.

Really what I want is... is it possible to push the running total automatically into a database (MSSQL 2008) table without human interference.

Forgot to mention that I'm using crystal reports embedded in VS2008.

Appreciate all responses

Your best bet would be to use your Visual Studios and just create an SSIS package on the SQL Server itself. Either that or just get the DBA's to write a quick procedure and put it into a SQL job.
