How can I use the a 515E with IOS 6.3 to route 2 networks through the same interface(inside)? Our 192.168.30.0 is being routed by Netwre server with 2 NICs. first nic is 192.168.30.1 with a GW of 192.168.0.3. our second network is 192.168.0.0 with a GW 192.168.0.1. I need to be able to route everything coming from the 192.168.0.3 and 192.168.0.1 to go to the outside. Is this possible?

Not until PIX OS 7 is released will you be able to forward packets out the same interface from which they are received.

Also.. how can the 192.168.30.0 network have a gateway of 192.168.0.3?? The gateway has to be on the same network...

Yes that is normal routing.. since it is routing from the inside interface to the outside..

However in my post above, I explain why network 192.168.30.0 will not work.

when is release 7 coming out??? Is it then possible to add an addtional NIC for the .30 network??

you can add a NIC now if you wanted too

thats not a OS version

it depends on your license

restricted can have up to 3 interfaces
unrestricted can have more, dependent on the box

Well I don't think your application will be passing traffic back through the same interface unless the two networks are trying to talk to eachother... so version 7 won't be necessary except for that ...

however, to answer the secondary network question, you wouldn't necessarily just add a new NIC, you might think about a new machine that is setup to act as a router, one with a NIC(IP on the .30 network) and another NIC (on the .0 network). That way the machine can talk to devices on both networks..
