We have an option 81C with ties to an Avaya system and we want to try passing name display. We have a test PRI between the two sites at our disposal. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? RDB D-channel config etc? Thanks for your help.

You will want to program your dch as qsig. Does the avaya support qsig trunking? With qsig you pass everything and let the avaya strip out what it needs.

No, using QSIG it will work.

Does it have to be QSIG or will NI2 work with NDx?

I guess it is possible but I haven't tied a Nortel to another system with NI-2. I have tied Nortel to Asterisk, Nortel to Cisco, and Nortel to Avaya with QSIG. It usually works well. The IFC I have used on the DCH and Route is ISGF. I currently don't have a Nortel/Avaya integration or I would post the setup. The Nortel/Avaya integration I setup a couple of years agao was a beta trial that was only in service for 6 months and pulled out.
